It is good to see some backbone in the man. Finally he is pointing the spotlight on the unreasonable attitude of the Rad Right.
Just what are they objecting to?
But Republicans have flatly rejected any proposal from Obama that contains additional revenue from closing tax loopholes, restricting the value of deductions for the rich, increasing tax rates for hedge fund managers or ending oil and gas subsidies.
What is so wrong in all of that? Why shouldn't we cut subsidies to an industry that is reporting record profits? It's not like he's trying to end the Bush tax cuts, which he should be doing. It's not like he's trying to raise tax rates, which he should be doing.
All he's trying to do is trim a tiny bit of the pork fat.
All he's doing is curbing government waste. Isn't that what the Rad Right is all about?
