For all those who have gone before.
The loss hurts like hell, but the good times were worth it.
I've got a lot of stuff to add here.
So we'll start with the most recent passing and work our way back...
Ashron
AKA : Ash, Ashacat, Houdini Incarnate, Fluffy Butt

Friend of humans, dogs, and other cats. Companion to Wizards, Thieves, and Barbarians he was a unique individual.
I don't know how old Ash really was, he was a stepcat, I inherited him when I moved into a friends house. When I moved out he came with me. A close, mutual friend says he was about 13 or 14. Which is a ripe old age for a mostly outdoor cat, and Ash, Houdini Incarnate, was an avid outdoors-cat.

He put that hole in the screen.
He put holes in almost all the screens.
|
In my habit of anthropomorphism I always saw Ashron as a Hemingway character. A sorta honorable, great white hunter. But a great
white hunter who wouldn't hurt a fly. His reaction to new cats in the
house was to hold them down and give them a bath. He was always very
patient with Dusty.

I'd have slapped her silly but he never did.

Ash liked kittens. He was gentle father figure.

With Stonzie, just chillin.

Ash and Dusty, wanting to go out in the snow.

Ash was an unusual outdoor cat. He came home covered in mud and soaked through a few times, but he never came home with any scratches or wounds of any sort. I credit this to his diplomatic, laid back nature. He never really got mad and he was smart enough to avoid fights. He liked to come and go as he pleased and would get very annoyed when I tried to keep him in.
But when he was in he was a snuggler who liked to sleep on my head.

Ashron was a truly unique cat and I miss him alot.
